Tram The tram service in Kagoshima is easy to understand and operates frequently. Rte 1 starts from Kagoshima station, goes through the centre and on into the suburbs. Rte 2 diverges at Takami-baba to Kagoshima-Chūō station and terminates at Korimoto. Either pay the flat fare (¥160) or buy a one-day travel pass (¥600) from the tourist information office or on the tram.
